Today we convinced the folks at PG&E to turn the heat on at Lindy Lane on Friday this week -- not wait until Tuesday of next week. Bob is my hero. It must have been 35 degrees at the house last night when I went up with Frank and Maura. Too cold. Bob wouldn't take "no" for an answer when PG&E said it would have to be Tuesday (after we move)-- this after making him wait on hold for 45 minutes before the next service representative was available. The bad news is that they told us they would come on Friday between 8am and 8 pm -- who wants to sit at the house with me all day????? Will they call first???? Why do we allow this monopoloy of our public utilities by idiots??? My back hurts today, not a good sign before we even start our move. Oh dear oh dear what have we gotten ourselves in to????
