Today Bob and I finally decided which stone fabricator to use. It's been very hard to pick between two companies, essentially the same in price, but with very different styles, customer service, etc. We eventually told the "grumpy" fabricators that we were going to take our buisness elsewhere, because the "friendly" people could do it faster. Suddenly, we're having our templates drawn onto the slabs to day (with White Out of all things), someone comes tomorrow at 8 am (yes, Saturday) to make the template for the kitchen and laundry, and then Monday we go back at 8 am (why?) to have those new templates drawn onto those slabs. Hurry hurry hurry. The things we are learning about sink installation, width of slabs (2cm or 3cm??), and shapes and sizes of material.... well, I just didn't really need to know all this in my life.
Next week the landscaper (oh we love Dominique!) will begin 3 or 4 days worth of demo/clean up in our yard. All the ivy and dead junk and killed lawn and debris. We'll finalize our new plant list so she can order the plants. That will take a week. Bob the Fence Guy will start fence repair, replacement, and new gates on Monday October 12 -- as soon as the bad ivy is gone and he can actually get to the fences. After that I forget -- but there is an entire time line now. We are scheduled to move out of here Wed-Friday, Oct 28-30. Happy Halloween.
